Altaf Hussain condemns Azfar Rizvi’s murder

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the brutal murder of educationist and a prominent social, Prof Azfar Rizvi and his driver, and demanded of the government to arrest their killers without any delay.
In a statement issued on Friday, the MQM chief said that Mr Rizvi, who was also an old associate of MQM’s Federal B’ Area Sector and Residents’ Committee, was a simple person and a man of principle, besides being known personality in the literary and social circles.
Terming Mr Rizvi’s murder a great tragedy, Mr Hussain said that the deceased was not only playing active role in literary and social fields but was also instrumental in spreading the MQM’s message.
Offering his condolences to the members of the bereaved family, he said that he and every member of MQM was deeply grieved over the tragedy.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Mr Hussain demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari, caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso and Federal Interior Minister Malik Habib to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the killing of Mr Rizvi and his driver and give them exemplary punishment.
