MQM’s Candidate for NA-246 Kanwar Naveed Jameel termed the demands of Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s candidates were irrational and unnecessary and demanded to depute foreign observers for the by-elections.
Talking to the press conference at Jinnha ground, Azizabad area, the MQM’s Candidate said that the PTI demanded to depute law enforcement agencies personnel in and outside the polling booths. He said that the PTI leadership then demanded to bring election staff from the other province.
Mr. Naveed Jameel said that now they were demanding to get published the ballot-papers from outside the province. He said that the opponent smelt the defeat so started crying and trying to make the election process controversial and said that the PTI and JI leaderships did not demand to depute national and international observers.
He said that the Taliban terrorists attacked on MQM campaign camps which caused various party workers deaths and injuries and hindered MQM to continue its election campaign properly. He expressed his reservations over the installation of bio-matric system in polling-booths and said that what if the machines would fail during the process.
