Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) organized party elections for the year 2012 on Sunday, the 17th June, in Lal Qila Ground Azizabad. A large number of office-bearers and workers of the party exercised their right to vote for electing officials at various tiers of the party including the co-ordination committee, sectors, units, zones and district committees.
An election commission was set up for holding the elections. Polling booths were setup in order to facilitate the workers in voting. Polling started at 9 am in the morning and continued till 5 pm in the evening. MNAs, MPAs, office-bearers of various wings of the MQM and members of different residents committees were present on the occasion.
