Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain on Monday strongly criticized and condemned the deliberate negligence of the Sindh Government and its Minister over Timber Market fire incident.
This he said while talking to MQM workers and members of the Parliament who visited MQM rescue camp at old Haji camp.
He demanded of the Government, "If it is unable to put the swathe on the wounds of the affectees then at least express sympathy with them”.
He urged upon the Sindh Government to fulfill its responsibilities of rehabilitation, compensation, and recovery of the innocent victims of the Timber Market. ”The fire not only burned the shops but saved assets, girls’ dowry, furniture and above all the hundreds of established homes torn into ashes”, he further said.
He said that the cost of damage due to horrific fire has estimated into billions of rupees and those who used to donate generously for the deserving and paupers now have started to look badly for succor.
Mr. Hussain avowedly said, ”I ensure all the sufferers of the incident that I will be raising voice for their rights at level”
