MQM workers are being gunned down because of the criminal negligence of police and law-enforcing agencies

Karachi: 5th June 2012
Members of the National Assembly belonging to Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) have denounced the increasing activities of the terrorists of the banned Peoples Amn Committee. They expressed their deep concerns on the rising incidents of bloodshed, demanding of extortion money and kidnapping for business persons for demanding huge ransom money.

The MNAs said that the incidents of extortion and kidnapping for ransom stopped whenever they was an operation against banned Amn committee but as soon as the operation was called off at the best of certain unseen power, crime rate increased once again. The city was being held hostage by notorious Amn committee and other ancillary groups.
The MNAs regretted that no action against these criminals was allowed to succeed that had threatened law and order situation in the city. Business activities had slackened in the city and the situation was adversely affecting the minds of peaceful citizens.
The MNAs said that the criminal elements were trying to overrun the entire city and spread their tentacles on the strength of sophisticated and lethal weapons. This situation was a cause of great concern for the peace-loving people of the country.
The MNAs called the lack of effective action against criminals operating in the city with impunity as criminal negligence on the part of the police and other law-enforcing agencies. They said that a large number of MQM workers had fallen victim of this criminal negligence.
The MNAs demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Interior Advisor Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take action against the terrorists and criminals of the banned Amn committee and bring them to book.
