MNA Dr Azra Afza Pechuho visits Khursheed Begum Secretariat

MQM will take active part in the polio eradication campaign starting in the country on 17th December: Dr Sagheer Ahmed
A delegation led by the chairperson of the Polio Eradication Committee and MNA Dr Azra Afzal Pechuho visited Khursheed Begum Secretariat on Monday and held meeting with the member of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM and Provincial Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed. Member of the Co-ordination Committee and Advisor on Information Technology Mr Raza Haroon was also present in the meeting.

Dr Pechuho said that the purpose of their visit was to start an organized campaign against the polio with the support of the MQM. Dr Pechuho had held a meeting with the Co-ordination Committee in the international secretariat in London some time back.

Members of the Co-ordination Committee warmly welcomed the delegation and assured full co-operation for the anti-polio campaign from the MQM. They said that the volunteers of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation and workers of different wings of the MQM would take active part in the campaign against polio starting on the 17th December.

Other members of the delegation included the National Co-ordinator of the prime minister's polio monitoring cell Dr Altaf Hussain Bosan, WHO Team Leader Dr Ilyas Dray, secretary health of Sindh Dr Aftab Khatri and other official connected with polio eradication.

Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs Mr Faisal Sabzwari and office-bearers of the Medical Aid Committee of the MQM were also present on the occasion.
