Message on the occasion of the Martyrs Day on 9th December
Paying rich tributes to the haq parast martyrs, Mr Altaf Hussain, the Founder and Leader of the MQM, said that the brave workers of the MQM gave their lives but remained steadfast and did not bow before the oppressive forces. The successes achieved by the MQM are the outcomes of the immortal sacrifices rendered by martyrs.
In a message on the occasion of the “Martyrs Day” Mr Hussain said that the nations that forget their martyrs are cast into oblivion by the swift course of time. “The MQM observes the martyrs day on 9th December in order to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs and pays them homage by offering fateha and other programmes.”
Mr Hussain said, “There have been difficult phases in the struggle for truth and justice, but the workers faced every trouble with unswerving determination. They suffered brutal physical torture in custody, faced the hardships of incarceration, and underwent the miseries of exiled life. I pay rich tributes to every worker for his bravery and perseverance.”
Mr Hussain said, “The Martyrs Day is the occasion to renew our pledge to abolish the archaic feudal system and the hereditary politics. The MQM will continue its struggle in spite of the conspiracies and hurdles created in its way.”
Mr Hussain said, “It is our firm belief that the blood of the martyrs would will not go in vain, and the movement for truth and justice will one day reach its destination.”
Mr Hussain prayed for the relatives of all the martyrs and the missing persons of the MQM.
