The arrest of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain despite his protracted illness caused an instant reaction from his followers and party workers.
Hundreds of thousands of people came out on the streets defying the scorching sun and harsh weather from June 3rd on Tuesday and still participating at a sit-in to show their love and solidarity in favour of Altaf Hussain. They had been sitting from Tuesday without any means of living, including water and food.
Members of various civil societies and individuals came out to the sit-in to provide basic necessities to the participants. They fed them with food, clean drinking water and other edibles. The prerogative volunteers devoted themselves to serve MQM activists and other visitors of the sit-in.
Meanwhile, some of the participants, including children, women and elders suffered nausea and heat-strokes in the harsh weather, were sent to the hospitals. They said they love MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and will not go home till anything positive comes from London about him.
