Another Mohajir elder, an intellectual and a teacher Zafarullah Khan extra judicially killed in Karachi. He was 61 years old.
Zafarullah Khan was arrested on 13th August 2020 from outside his house from N Block of North Nazimabad in Karachi by Para Military Rangers. After arrest, he was taken to the unknown place. He was brutally tortured in Rangers custody. Since last 3 months he was enforcedly disappeared and not presented before any court of law. On 13th November, he was handed over to his family in very critical condition with broken ribs. He was severely tortured. Zafarullah Khan was admitted immediately in local hospital but he could not survive and died on Sunday, 15th November due to persistent torture.
MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the extra judicial killing of Zafarullah Khan and expressed his deepest sorrow and grief on this tragedy.
Mr. Hussain prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest in peace. He prayed that may Allah Almighty punish those Rangers personnels who killed Zafarullah Khan.
He appealed to the all workers to offer fateha for Zafarullah Khan Shaheed.
