Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) founding leader Altaf Hussain has said that
Sindhis and Mohajirs are two profiles of a single coin and if they would
continue to confront each other then Sindh would continue to remain in Punjab’s
hands as its satellite colony and hence both Sindhis and Mohajirs should unite
and fight together for their freedom from the fangs of the Punjab. This is the
last option and both the nations have to realise it open-heartedly.
He expressed these views while
addressing Sindh’s native citizens during his speech based on his ideology. His
address was watched live through social media by the millions across the globe.
He asked Sindhis to tell why they
were compelled to keep their separate identify while they live in Pakistan
which is a country of all nations including Sindhis. Conversely, it is a mater
to ponder as why Mohajirs who migrated from India were compelled to choose
their separate identity as Mohajirs in Pakistan which they created and laid
countless sacrifices for Pakistan. This is only because of sheer policies of
discrimination among different nations and the discriminatory attitude always
brings despondence and sense of insecurity.
He said that as was once seen
during colonial era that the Portuguese, English and French had held different
parts of lands as their colonies. The English Empire had not freed India but
they were constrained to reach and accept that end to their rule over India
because the World war-II had so badly weakened them and they were not able to
keep their tyrannical occupation over India. Likewise, same on the pattern of
their English rulers, the Punjabi establishment would never let Sindh be freed
peacefully but they would leave Sindh only after Mohajirs and Sindhis would
decide to fight Punjabi establishment together.
He said that, “Punjab has converted Sindh one of its
colonies and people in armed forces stationed in Sindh are only Punjabis.” “DG
Rangers, IG Police, Chief Secretary and other key post officers are imported
from Punjab.”
He added that Army Generals get
their share from agricultural land of Sindh during their service and after
their retirement. Hence, entire Sindh is now an occupied territory of Punjab.
He asked Mohajirs and Sindhis to
decide whether they would love seeing Sindh a colony of Punjab or they would
think differently. It was the demonic military establishment of Punjab and its
intelligence services, ISI and Mi that created differences between Mohajirs and
Sindhis. Since days of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto till date all Sindhi and Mohajirs
ethnic riots were planned and executed by the ISI and MI and those ethnic riots
were carried and accomplished through paid agents in ranks and files of
Mohajirs and Sindhis.
He claimed, “I can prove my words in any court in corner of the world.”
There are many languages in a
country in world and in Sindh, Urdu and Sindhis would be official languages of
free Sindh. Mohajirs have no problems in learning and speaking Sindhi language
but they would own it as their own language. Sindhis should realise that the
demonic military establishment had imposed the Quota System only for creating
division in Sindh between Mohajirs and Sindhis. Honest Sindhi nationalist
should reach Mohajirs and take them into confidence that they are also sons of
Sindh soil. Today, the continuity of history has now resulted in unity of
Mohajirs and Sindhis and in case they do not grasp that greatest opportunity
then they would have no other way left except devastation.
Hussain said that Shafi Burfat
and he has not come forward as one for their personal petty interests but they
have stepped forward together for the sake of Sindh. He said that they want
nothing except freedom of Sindh from Punjab. Likewise, he added, he also want
to see Balouch, Pashtun, Gilgiti, Kashmiri, Hazarwal and other oppressed
nations as free nations.
He paid rich tribute to Jeay
Sindh Tehreek founder Sain G. M. Syed, JSMM’s Shafi Burfat, JSQM’s Dr Safdar
Serki, Abdul Wahid Aresar and Basheer Qureshi.
He said that rapid changes are
taking place in the region after killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in
a U. S. attack in Iraq. Tension is ever time high and there are clouds of third
world war and this war could easily be waged if the U. S. would avoid sanity.
However, whenever world war was fought, new states and countries emerged on the
atlas and native people of Sindh would also get freedom if they would keep
alert.
He claimed that, “Pakistani ghoulish military establishment
has compromised over Pakistan’s nuclear programme and arsenal at the behest and
demand of U. S. A.” “These military General have also mortgaged Pakistan to
China in the garb of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.”
He said that Sindhis and Mohajirs
would never allow any foreign power to occupy Sindh.
He chanted a slogan in the end –
Azad Sindh Riyasat (Free Sindh State).
