ATROCITIES, INJUSTICES IN KARACHI ARE GREATER THAN J&K : MQM

MQM could also seek assistance from the democracies of the world against the injustices, atrocities and genocide of the Mohajir Nation – Deputy Convener of MQM CCC

LONDON. Aug 24, 2019: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Central Coordination Committee (CCC) has said that the atrocities in Karachi and other cities of Sindh province are comparatively greater than those being inflicted on to the people of India Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K). The institutions of the state of Pakistan are subjecting the innocent Mohajirs, Balouchs Pashtuns, Sindhis and other oppressed nations in Pakistan to vehement torture and agony and the scale of such atrocities are higher than seen in IOJ&K. These atrocities in Karachi and other cities are being inflicted only by the demonic military and its armed and paramilitary troops.

These were the views of CCC Deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza and he was flanked by CCC members Mustafa Azizabadi, Manzoor Ahmed and Arshad Hussain.

He claimed that Pakistan’s military and civilian leaders have compromised over the fate and future of IOJ&K with the United States of America and sooner or later the entire world would be on the same page with the MQM with regard to its claims regarding the IOJ&K.

Raza while quoting former Pakistani diplomats Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, Abdul Basit (President of Azad Kashmir) and Shahid Malik on a TV show saying that it was legal to raise weapon by the people of IOJ&K for their rights and freedom and that the people of IOJ&K could also seek assistance of whatsoever kind regarding their struggle, it is obvious that this formula cannot be limited to the people of IOJ&K but should be equally applied to all freedom movements across the globe.

He was of strong opinion that, “MQM could also seek assistance from the democracies of the world against the injustices, atrocities and genocide of the Mohajir Nation.” Same formula should also be applied to other oppressed nations in Pakistan such as Balouchs, Pashtuns, Sindhis, Gilgitis and Baltistanis who have reached the verge of elimination at the hands of the demonic military of Pakistan and its Paramilitary Troops.

He said that the ghoulish military of Pakistan has butchered thousands of innocent Mohajirs in the garb of crackdown against the criminals and as many they have kidnapped from houses and their traces are yet not known to any of us. No state institution is ready or willing to listen to us Mohajirs and others.

It might also be possible that the entire oppressed nation would launch a united freedom movement under one platform, he opined.

He repeated what MQM has so far been demanding that the demonic military of Pakistan should now stop inflicting all and any atrocities on Mohajirs and other oppressed nations and should work within the constitutional ambit.

Azizabadi in his address said that Azad Kashmir President Abdul Basit had talked about atrocities on the people of IOJ&K and that the MQM is also grossly aggrieved on these situations in IOJ&K but the fact is that the scale of atrocities in Karachi and other cities at the hands of the demonic military of Pakistan is greater than those being inflicted on to the people of IOJ&K at the hands of Indian occupied troops.

In 1992, military crackdown was launched against the Mohajirs in Karachi, which is still in full swing during which thousands were extrajudicially executed and as many were forced to disappear under the use of guns. In 1996, Government of Benazir was dismissed on charges of extrajudicial killings of the Mohajirs but not a single involved in those massacres was ever tried or taken to task. MQM men are easily targeted, killed extrajudicially in Karachi.

Ahmed in his address said that Pakistan always does advocacy for the IOJ&K but it never talks about the state of Junagadh that had at the time of partition announced merger with Pakistan. Conversely, Pakistan also does not speak about Hyderabad Deccan. At the other, Pakistan under guns occupied the state of Kalat, which in fact was not willing to merge with Pakistan.

He said that the world would not limit it to the issue of IOJ&K but would also come to the issues of Gilgit-Baltistan, which is presently under Pakistan’s control, unlawfully.

Hussain in his part of address said that the so-called brave Pakistani military is yelling out with full force to free IOJ&K from India but at the same this very ghoulish military is inflicting colossal atrocities ion Mohajirs, Balouchs, Pashtuns and other oppressed nations in Pakistan. The gallantry of the so-called brave Pakistan military is limited to sealing the MQM’s headquarters, Nine Zero in Azizabad and not for assisting the empty-handed Kashmiris.

He said that the military should bear in mind that they could not suppress the Mohajirs, Balouchs, Pashtuns and others for longer time.
