LAHORE: MQM candidates for national and provincial assemblies continued their election campaign here on Monday holding public meetings and going door-to-door in their respective constituencies. MQM Central Punjab spokesman Khurram Shahzad told the media that MQM candidate for NA 125, Dr Zaibun Nisa, held a public meeting in Manawan and launched a door-to-door campaign. The candidate for NA-126, Begum Tahira Asif, held public meetings at Johar Town, Iqbal Town and Samanabad. The candidate for NA-127, Bisma Asif Sukhera, held an election meeting at Chungi Amer Sidhu. The MQM candidate for NA-119, Dr Saeed Anwar, had to postpone his election campaign due to a robbery at his house on Ravi Road. The candidates from PP-138, PP-141 and PP-149, Maha Bano, Mirza Umer Asif and Muhammad Shahzad Akbar also continued their campaigns. They highlighted the party manifesto which promises relief for the poor and middle classes.
