Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Jafferia Disaster Cell (JDC) agreed to undertake people’s welfare-oriented works jointly.
This was decided when an MQM delegation led by its deputy convener Dr Farooq Sattar visited the JDC’s central office located at Federal B’ Area’s Block 20 ahead of General Elections in the country.
The MQM delegation during its meeting with the JDC Chairman Allama Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi ( also a central leader of Shia Ulema Council), general secretary Zafar Abbas, vice chairman Adil Naqvi and Pak Muharram Association and Khoja Jamaat’s general secretary Sarwar Ali, lauded the JDC’s welfare works.
Dr Farooq Sattar, on behalf of MQM chief Altaf Hussain and the party, specifically appreciated the JDC’s members’ hard work and their valuable services for the relatives of the victims of Abbas Town tragedy.
The other members of the MQM delegation included Haider Abbas Rizvi and Sultan Mohammad Zeeshan.
Its worth mentioning here that the Shiite Community of Karachi blamed the MQM involvement in the Shia genocide in Karachi. Though the MQM's leadership rejected the allegations against the party but some of the MQM activists were detained by the law enforcement agencies involved in the target killing of Shia Muslims in Karachi, a bastion of MQM from last three decades.
