Altaf Hussain condemns the brutal killing of an MQM worker and his son in Orangi Town
 Posted on: 9/16/2014
Performance of law-enforcement agencies in Karachi is deplorable
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has condemned the brutal killing of an MQM worker and former councillor Muhammad Rashid and his young son Muhammad Aadil in Orangi Town. He termed the incident an act of blatant terrorism and complete failure of Karachi Operation. Muhammad Rashid was a worker of Unit 120 of Orangi Town Sector of the MQM.
In a statement, Mr Hussain said that MQM workers, religious scholars belonging to difference schools of thought and working professionals were being gunned down incessantly in the city but the performance of law enforcement agencies in this connection was deplorable and disappointing.
He lamented that the elements involved in terrorism and bloodshed were free from the grip of law-enforcing agencies which has clearly proved the utter failure of Karachi Operation and exposed its wrong direction.
The manner in which terrorists have brutally gunned down both the father and the son proves that terrorists are not only ruthless but also they consider themselves away from the reach of the proverbial long arm of the law.
Mr Hussain expressed his heartfelt condolences to the grief-stricken family of Muhammad Rashid and Muhammad Aadil and said that he and MQM’s workers shared their grief.  He prayed Allah to bless the souls of the slain MQM worker and his young son. He also prayed Allah to give strength and patience to the family to bear the loss.
Mr Hussain demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to bring the brutal killers to justice. He also urged them to take notice of the unending incidents of terrorism and bloodshed in Karachi and take solid and positive steps to stop it.
