Inordinate delays in solving the CNG crisis has badly affected normal life in the country
The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has condemned the closure of CNG stations in Karachi and the rest of the country and urged on the CNG station owners and OGRA to find out a solution of the CNG crisis in the larger interest public interest. It said that the common people were facing immense problem due to the unavailability of CNG stations. There are interminably long queues at the CNG stations that are opened, which has created numerous problems besides traffic congestion on busy thoroughfares.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the untold miseries of the people after the judgment of the Supreme Court on the pricing mechanism of the CNG should be removed without further inordinate delay as the unavailability of CNG has badly affected normal life. The CNG stations were opened in order to facilitate people but unfortunately, the transport mafia was allowed to switch over to the CNG without any justifications who were fleecing helpless people.
The Co-ordination Committee called upon President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to take notice of the closure of the CNG stations in the country and ensure implementation of the judgment of the Supreme Court.
