The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the blastnear Khan Razik Police Station in the Qissa Khawani Bazaar area ofPeshawar. He expressed his grief and sorrow on the death of the ASP Investigations Hilal Haider, his two guards and some other persons. He said that the officers and personnel of police and armed forces that were fighting against terrorism were an asset for the nation. He said that by targeting ASP Hilal Haider, the terrorists had proven once again that they were working on a conspiracy to destabilize the country.
Mr Hussain said that the sacrifices of the police, armed forces, and the FC and other law-enforcing agencies against terrorism would not go to waste. He extended sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the people injured in the attack. He demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take serious notice of the blast and called for effective steps to curb terrorism. He said that the elements involved in the blast should be brought swiftly to justice.
