The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain and President Asif Zardari have talked on telephone about the overall political situation of the country, unfortunate terrorism incidents, promotion of democracy and other important issues.

President Zardari complimented Mr Hussain, his daughter Afza Altaf, other members of the family and office-bearers and workers of the MQM on Eidul Azha. Mr Hussain felicitated Eid greetings to the president, chairman of the PPP Bilawal Zardari, his daughters Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur, other members of the family and the PPP leaders and workers.

Both Mr Hussain and President Zardari deplored the bomb blasts in girls’ schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the explosion in the shrine of Ziarat Kaka Sahib in Naushehra. They termed these activities as blatant acts of terrorism and called for joint efforts for eliminating extremism and terrorism from the country.

They also agreed that the MQM and the PPP would continue to work together for meeting the challenges facing the country and said that both the parties would continue to play their role for the progress and prosperity of the country.
