Offers condolences to Allama Abbas Kumaili on the killing of his son in an incident of sectarian targeted killing
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili, son of the head of Jafria Alliance and prominent religious scholar Allama Abbas Kumaili in an incident of firing by armed terrorists. He termed it a continuation of the sectarian targeted killings in Karachi.
Mr Hussain that terrorists belonging to band outfits and sectarian organizations were targeting religious scholars, doctors, engineers, teachers and businessmen and plunging the city in the fire of sectarianism by their vile actions. He said it was unfortunate that no tangible action was being taken to curb the activities of these outlawed sectarian organizations and they were busy in spilling blood of innocent people without any fear of law.
Mr Hussain recalled that the son-in-law of another renowned religious scholar Allama Talib Jauhari was gunned down sometime back while many other people have fallen victim of sectarian targeted killings during the past few days.
Mr Hussain asked how long will the citizens of Karachi be left to the mercy of terrorists belonging to band religious outfits. He demanded that the killers of Allama Akbar Ali should be brought to justice and steps should be taken to rid the city from the clutches of sectarian target-killer.
Mr Hussain offered his heartfelt condolences to Allama Abbas Kumaili and said that the killing of his son was a big tragedy. He said that the MQM workers and sympathisers shares his grief equally.
Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to shower His mercy on the departed soul and descend His curse upon the people involved in incidents of sectarian targeted killings.
