I appeal to the participants of Azadi and Revolution marches to put off their sit-ins because of the natural disaster: Altaf Hussain

The whole national has to put aside their political and ideological differences and get united to help the people affected by floods
The Founder and Leader of MQM has said that sometimes a person has to take tough decisions for the sake of survival and security of the country. Such decisionsare taken in the collective interest of the country and the people by letting go of personal and parochial interests. He said that in normal circumstances a person avoids taking such decisions.
“Every sensible Pakistani knows that the entire country is facing torrential rainfall. The heavy rainfall has caused flooding in different areas. Old and mud houses have been swept away by rain water. Floods have caused damaged to important buildingsbesides causing loss of lives. Majority of them who are dead are children. Death toll is increasing with the passage of time.”
Mr. Hussain said that few persons could fight this serious, frightening natural disaster. 
“It is imperative that the whole national puts aside their political and ideological differences and gets united to help the victims of the flood.  We should make arrangements for their rehabilitation and do something for the protecting the life and property by adopting scientific ways.”
“I appeal to the participants of the Azadi and the Revolution marches to put off their protestdemonstrations and get involved in the relief activities. Victims of torrential rains and floods are looking towards their fellow countrymen to rescue them from flooded areas where they are trapped.” 
Mr. Hussain has also appealed to the government to release all the arrested workers and leaders as a goodwill gesture. 
He also appealed to the government to divert their attention towards the rehabilitation of the flood victims and protection of their lives and urged them to use all possible resources.
Mr. Hussain said to Pakistanis that they should note that officers and men of the armed forces were helping the flood victims in every possible way and rendering great sacrifices. 
He prayed for the people who had died because of the torrential rains and flooding. He prayed to Allah to give patience to bereaved families to bear the loss. He prayed to Allah to save Pakistan from heavy rains and floods.
