Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) stressed that all Pakistanis within the country and living abroad are extremely perturbed on the complex and sensitive situation presently faced by Pakistan. He further added that this complex situation calls upon all leaders whether it is Altaf Hussain, Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Dr AllamaTahir-ul-Qadri, leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) or the Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif not to desist from forsaking their personalities and personal egos to save the sanctity of the constitution , democracy and the institutions. He said that personalities are transient while the system and the country is everlasting.
Mr Altaf Hussain expressed these views during his conversation with Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf over the telephone from London. Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi called Mr Altaf Hussain and expressed gratitude on his own behalf, behalf of Mr Imran Khan, Chairman PTI, other leaders and workers for expressing sympathy, solidarity and observing the day of mourning against police atrocities on the workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek. Mr Altaf Hussain condoled on the martyrdom of the workers and supporters and prayed for the early recovery of the wounded in the Islamabad incident. Mr Altaf Hussain, expressing his views during his telephonic conversation, said that the country is faced with grave danger, sinking into the quagmire of economic disaster even the democratic system and the sanctity of the institutions are faced with grave dangers and therefore, the country demands of the leaders to sacrifice their egos and personalities. He emphasised that we shall not forget that the existence of democracy,  system, constitution and the law is contingent of the existence of the country and if God forbid, the country does not exist then the democracy, system, constitution and the law becomes meaningless; thus personalities and egos must be sacrificed at this crucial juncture. Mr Altaf Hussain prayed that May Allah bless intellect, acumen and courage to all to begin a meaningful dialogue forthwith for amicable solution of the crisis while MQM offers its unconditional support.
Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi agreed with the views of Mr Altaf Hussain and reiterated his thanks to Mr Altaf Hussain for remaining aware of the victims during these testing times, praying for speedy recovery of the wounded and condemning the police atrocities and barbarism on his behalf, other leaders and workers and Mr Imran Khan from the core of their hearts. He further added that every Pakistanis commend that you in spite of being in exile are  courageously and bravely playing positive role and suggesting different proposals to retrieve the country from this complex and dangerous situation. Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the country is facing a deadlock and the nation is looking up to you. The country needs your far-sighted and visionary advice that can play to pull the country out from present sensitive situation and prayed  that may Allah accept his efforts.  Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said to Mr Hussain that his views would bring further improvements and bridge the distances between different parties and establish honourable ties.
