Political chaos : PPP delegation visits Nine-Zero

A PPP delegation led by Senator Rehman Malik visited MQM headquarters Nine-Zero to discuss the current political situation of the country.
The PPP delegation was in a rout to play a mediator role to defuse the possible confrontations between the government and opposing parties. Talking on the occasion, the PPP Senator informed that their visit was to take all the political parties on board to settle the issue through a political process.
Rehman Malik said that PPP Co-Chairperson and former president Asif Ali Zardari directed the delegation to have talks with all the political parties of the country and tried to defuse the situation. He praised MQM Chief Altaf Hussain for his role in the current crisis and said that under his thorough guidance, he learnt a lot.
Meanwhile, MQM Deputy Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that MQM always endorsed any effort to stabilize political process and supported all the democratic practices in the country. He said MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain directed all his workers to defend democracy.
Dr Siddiqui emphasized on to continuity of the democratic process, people had to be empowered and the local bodies’ elections should be held without any delay. He said by empowering people, the government’s responsibilities would be eased because they could solve their issues themselves.
Both MQM and PPP demanded the government and the opposing parties to show political maturity and go for the dialogues to practice a genuine democracy. The PPP delegation appreciated MQM Chief Altaf Hussain for his continuous role to defuse the confrontation between the government and protestors. It also applauded PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari for his role as a mediator to ease the situation.
