Altaf Hussain thanks federal govt. for fence removal

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for removal of fences during opposition’s long march.
MQM Chief thanked and prayed for them to respect democracy to remove fences and allow the opposition to take out long march. He said that the decision could avert the danger of possible confrontation and bloodbath between the government and opposition.
He also appealed to the parties, which took out long march, should respect the Independence Day and made their march peaceful. He said that they should ensure to avoid damaging public properties and innocent lives.
Earlier, the federal government has communicated with MQM leadership and delivered a message of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The government took MQM in confidence regarding removal of fences from the streets of Lahore, which were installed to stop opposition’s long march.
