MQM is struggling for the genuine rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan: Haider Abbas Rizvi

Sense of deprivation is growing
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee’s member Haider Abbas Rizvi has said that MQM is struggling for the genuine rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and it will bring a resolution in the parliament. He said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have been deprived of their rights for the last 66 years.
He expressed these views in a press conference. Member MQM Rabita Committee Aslam Afridi, in-charge Gulgit-Baltistan Committee and office bearers were present at the press conference.
Commenting on the problems faced by people of Gilgit-Baltistan Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM was following the philosophy and ideology of Altaf Hussain and  it would take practical steps for the solution of the problems of the people and provide them basic facilities. He added that the rulers would have to stop repressive policies and find solutions to the problems. He promised that MQM would bring a resolution in the parliament in this regard.
“People of Gilgit-Baltistan have been deprived of their constitutional and basic rights for the last 66 years. Sense of deprivation is growing. Their problems are increasing daily. MQM is a peaceful and democratic party. It is serving the people of Gilgit-Baltistan too. That’s why MQM has raised voice for them since its inception, “ Haider Abbas Rizvi said.
“Altaf Hussain is the only leader that can steer the country out of crisis. The country is facing internal and external threats in this situation all the parties will have to unite under single platform, “ Haider Abbas Rizvi.
Haider Abbas Rizvi demanded that roads should be built in the area urgently to improve travelling. He added that affectees of Dyamar should be compensated urgently. The government should address the reservations of the people regarding Dyamar Dam.
