Rabita Committee condemns undue arrest of 2-MQM activists

Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the undue detainment of two of its party activists of Surjani Town Unit-7, Amir Ashrafi son of Moin-ud-din and Rehan Ali son of Intezar Ali, from Jamia Masjid Dala-il-Khairat in Surjani Town sector 10/5 area.

The Coordination Committee said both the activists were distributing Iftari-meal among the people who sit in seclusion at Jamia Masjid Dala-il-Khairat, from where the Rangers personnel arrested them after being identified and transported them unknown place. It said that it seemed a normal practice to arrest innocent activists of MQM and transported them at unknown place.

The committee demanded to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice against MQM activists’ arrest. It also demanded to provide information about the arrest activists and help the detainees’ families.
