KMC hospitals stop providing medicines: Rabita Committee

MQM Coordination Committee condemned the provision of medicines and other facilities in eight KMC hospitals due to non-payment of their liabilities.
 
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said the responsible elements of non-provision of medicines and other basic facilities committed extreme e negligence of their duties. It said KMC hospitals were the only resource to provide basic medication to the poor and lower-middle class.
 
The Coordination Committee said due to non-payment of bills, KMC hospitals stopped providing medicines and other basic facilities to their patients, mostly the poor. It demanded to Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the issue and resolve it to ease the poor and lower-middle class patients and released appropriate funds to KMC hospitals.
