Time is near when the educated and honest people would be empowered in the Pakistan
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the moderate and enlightened segment of the society, particularly the younger generation, would have to step forward and act for eliminating the decaying feudal system, religious hatred and sectarianism. He said this while talking to the office-bearers of the Sindh Tanzeemi Committee, the Hyderabad Zonal Committee and the Women Wing of the MQM Hyderabad zone.
Mr Hussain urged upon the MQM office-bearers and workers to give preference to merit and refrain from nepotism and favouritism. He said that only those nations could hope to make progress in the world that adopted the system of merit in every department of life. He said that the time was not far when the educated people from the poor and middle classes would be empowered in the country.
Mr Hussain said that the current century was the century of the Information Technology and hence everyone associated with the movement must equip themselves with modern knowledge. He asked the students to concentrate on their studies and avoid falling prey to the culture of cheating in order to pass in examinations if they wanted to become useful for the movement.
He asked the students to respect their parents, teachers, elders, and women and use their abilities for spreading the message of the party. He asked the workers and office-bearers to continue serving the humanity irrespective of the prejudices of caste, colour, religion, and sect. The Hyderabad zonal committee briefed Mr Hussain about the organizational work and welfare activities of the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation.
