It is tyranny and injustice to subject them to unannounced load shedding despite their regular payment of bills
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee has condemned long duration of unannounced load shedding in different parts of Karachi during Iftar and Sehri. They have termed it tyranny and injustice against people of Karachi.
In a statement Rabita Committee said, “K-Electric has been making claims that they will not implement load-shedding during Sehri and Iftar. However, despite their claims different parts of Karachi are experiencing load-shedding. People who are on fast are experiencing difficulties and problems. They are not able to perform their Taraweeh prayers properly because of heat.”
“People of Karachi are using the most expensive electricity. They are paying their bills regularly. They are experiencing excessive billing by K-Electric too. It is tyranny and injustice to subject them to unannounced load shedding despite their regular payment of bills. K-Electric’s action is highly condemnable, “ Rabita Committee said.
Rabita Committee made a demand to the Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ulEbad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of unannounced load shedding and prevent K-Electric from subjecting the people of Karachi to load shedding.
