Member MQM Coordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar said that it happened first time when MQM Chief Altaf Hussain was recognized as an international news magazine “Newsweek” published his exclusive interview titling “The Right Man.”
In a media briefing at Karachi Press Club, Dr Sattar said the exclusive interview and its title endorsed Altaf Hussain’s political philosophy, which also suggested Pakistan to think about his political ideology. Deputy Convener Engr. Nasir Jamal, members Coordination Committee Syed Aminul Haq, Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui and Mian Atiq were also present on the occasion.
He said, in his interview, Altaf Hussain addressed country’s core problems and suggested to resolve them. He categorically informed international community regarding MQM’s struggle to provide fundamental right to the disadvantaged people regardless their ethnic and communal belongings, he added.
Dr Sattar said MQM was victimized by various forces to be confined within urban areas of Sindh but gradually MQM penetrated all over the country as it has an MPA in Gilgit-Baltistan and two MNAs in Kashmir Assembly. He said MQM Chief pointed out two percent people who possessed most of country’s virtual or physical wealth forced people to be deprived from their rights.
Altaf Hussain said in his interview that MQM would make Pakistan with true spirit of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’ philosophy to liberate people to act as their political and religious views, Dr Sattar said. He also discussed civil-military relationship and its existing problems and how to resolve them.
At the end, Deputy Convener Engr. Nasir Jamal distributed copies of “Newsweek” among senior journalists, columnists and analysts, including Mehmood Sham, Agha Masood, Muqtadra Mansoor, Sarwar Javed, Amin Yusuf, KPC acting President Saeed Sarbazi and varios others.
