MQM condemns threats to slain MNA’s family

MQM Coordination Committee strongly condemned the death threats to ‘Martyr to Enlighten Punjab’ Tahira Asif’s husband and her family.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said the martyr MNA was also receiving death threats from various terrorists’ outfits. Despite taking action on the appeal for providing foolproof security to her, the government and law enforcement agencies took no serious account in this regard which resulting the unfortunate murder of Tahira Asif after being identified.
It demanded the Punjab government to take appropriate security measures for Tahira Asif’s husband and family. It also demanded to provide security to MQM parliamentarians and should take notice against lawlessness in the province.
Meanwhile, a PPP delegation led by Shahida Rehman called on members of MQM Coordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar and Senator Babar Khan Ghouri at Khursheed Begum Secretariat. Shahida Rehman strongly condemned the brutal murder of MNA Tahira Asif and condoled them for the lost. They also offered Dua for the demise and prayed Almighty Allah to bestow her eternal peace.
Another delegation from All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) called on members of MQM Coordination Committee Haider Abbas Rizvi and Nisar Pinhor at Khursheed Begum Secretariat. The delegation condemned the unfortunate murder of MQM MNA Tahira Asif and expressed their deep sorrow and offered solace to the MQM workers and leadership. Haider Abbas Rizvi also thanked them, especially Pervez Musharraf for his moral support.
