The Central Coordination Committee in an extraordinary meeting severely condemning the martyrdom of Mrs Tahira Asif, MQM Member of the National Assembly at the hands of barbaric terrorists has announced three days of mourning on this tragic incident. All organisational and political activities of MQM will remain suspended for three days and black flags would be hoisted on all MQM offices. The Central coordination Committee said that the murder of Mrs Tahira Asif is a tragic and appalling incident and can understand the sentiments of the people and party workers but appealed to them to remain peaceful, exercise total restraint and not get provoked and also asked the traders, shopkeepers and industrialists to continue with their businesses as usual during the three day period of mourning. The Central Coordination Committee further appealed to the people and workers to observe candle light vigil to pay their condolences and demonstrate solidarity with the bereaved family members and to protest against the terrorism. The central Committee demanded of the government to arrests the killers forthwith and give them exemplary punishment. The central coordination committee paid their condolences to Mian Asif, husband of Mrs Tahira Asif, her daughter and sons and assured them that the blood of Mrs Tahira Asif would not go to waste and the Movement will accomplish its mission and victory. They also assured them each and every worker of the party share their grief and sorrow equally. Finally, the Members of the Central Coordination Committee prayed for her salvation and prayed that May Allah almighty place her soul in Jannat-ul-Firdaus and grant strength and patience of the family members to endure this loss.
