 Posted on: 5/29/2014
MQM members of Sindh Assembly expressed their extreme frustrations over non seriousness of federal and provincial governments regarding KarachiWater Supply Project K-IV.

The Parliamentarians termed water is essential commodity for human life and without it no one could survive long. They said shortage of water in summer, when heat went up to 44 degree, seemed acute calamity for human life.

They said water scarcity broke out chaos in the city and hinted at to left people on the mercy of tanker mafia. They complained that people were forced to buy highly expensive water tankers.

The MQM MPAs said the mega city should instantly be provided 600 million gallons of water daily through K-IV project. They claimed that the federal government seemed non serious towards the issue and there was no intention to resolve the problems of the economic hub of the country.

They demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and concerned authorities to take rapid action to rescue Karachiites. They also demanded to stop discriminating local inhabitants and fulfill their
genuine demands.
