Form watch-and-ward-system and vigilance committees for the prevention of growing incidents of terrorism: Rabita Committee

Report to the law enforcement agencies if they find suspicious activities.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee has made an appeal to people to form watch and ward system and vigilance committees for the prevention of growing incidents of terrorism. They added that it was their national duty to provide protection to life and property of people.

“The country is passing through a difficult phase at this time. Pakistan faces internal and external challenges. Our forces are rendering supreme sacrifices in their fight against terrorists in South Waziristan. Threat of terrorism has increased manifold because of army action against terrorists. In the light of this situation it is the responsibility of people to cooperate with police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies for the security and survival of the country. People should form vigilance committees consisting of young men and elders and keep an eye on the suspicious people and report to the law enforcement agencies if they find suspicious activities. They should keep contact numbers of police and rangers. Police who are coming to Karachi because ongoing operation in Waziristan should be properly screened in order to prevent the arrival of terrorists, “ Rabita Committee.
