MQM’S SUFIA-E-KARAAM CONFERENCE IN LAHORE WILL BE A MILESTONE IN THE STRUGGLE FOR ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION AND HATRED SPREAD IN THE NAME OF RELIGION, BELIEFS AND SECTS – ALTAF HUSSAIN

MQM Founder Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that the “Sufia-e-Karaam Conference” organised by MQM in Lahore, Punjab, will be a milestone in the struggle for elimination of discrimination and hatred spread in the name of religion, beliefs and sect. He was addressing the MQM office bearers, elected representatives and workers busy in preparation for the Conference at the Wehdat Colony Ground in Lahore.
Mr Hussain said, “the Sufia-e-Karaam Conference will be like a new fountain of hope, brotherhood, peace, love and harmony for the country thus washing away the hate mongers and will help in evolving an atmosphere of love and peace thereby restructuring Pakistan as envisaged by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Shair-e-Mashriq Allama Iqbal.
“The Conference will shed light on the role that Sufis, Saints and other renowned religious scholars played spreading and promoting Islam and respect to humanity.”, added Mr Hussain.
Mr Hussain appealed to the people of Punjab and particularly of Lahore including religious scholars, intellectuals, doctors, lawyers, peasants, labourers and students to attend the “Sufia-e-Karaam Conference” in Lahore on Sunday 9th March 2014.
Earlier while speaking to those present at the MQM Punjab House in Lahore Mr Hussain said, “The Allah Almighty showers His blessings upon the society where love and peace is practised and respect to humanity is observed.”
Speaking on the role of Sufis and Saints in the Indian Sub-Continent, Mr Hussain said, “The Sufis kept their doors open to all irrespective of religion, however, sadly certain individuals with vested interest have created divisions amongst human beings in the name of religion, faith and school of thought. It is now our duty to demolish this wall of differences”. The Allah Almighty is the Creator of entire universe, intellect and knowledge is not limited to few, whosoever enthusiastically seeks knowledge – knowledge will robustly direct itself towards the seeker.
Mr Hussain praised all those busy in organising the “Sufia-e-Karaam Conference” and prayed to Allah Almighty to accept their efforts and make Pakistan a country of love and peace where justice prevails.
