People of Punjab will give a verdict against the extremists who wanted to impose their version of Sharia by force
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the Sufiya-e-Kiram Conference will drive a nail in the coffins of extremists who do politics in the name of religion. The conference will also deal a blow to the feudal and capitalist systems in the country.
Mr. Hussain said these words while talking to MQM office bearers and workers in Lahore.
“People of Punjab will give a verdict against the extremists who wanted to impose their version of Sharia by force. Punjab is the land of Sufis. People of Punjab follow the teachings of Sufis who have taught people to love one another, sacrifice for brothers in need and respect humanity. We want to promote peace in the land of Sufis, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“The Quran has clearly said don’t force anyone to accept your religion. The moderate and peaceful people of Punjab do not like that Islam should be spread by force. The want Islam which promotes peace, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain has urged people of other religions to attend the conference and show to the extremists that they are against extremism. He hoped that people of Punjab would support MQM after the conference.
He said that MQM would form a government consisting of poor and middle class educated people and these people would practically serve the people.
Mr. Hussain said that the conference would prove good for Pakistan and soon we would form a government that would provide justice. He added this government would eradicate all types of crimes, including theft, kidnapping for ransom and target killings.  He hopped that we would put Pakistan in the comity of developed nations as envisioned by Jinnah and Iqbal.
He praised office bearers and workers who have worked tirelessly for the holding of the conference.
