Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has expressed his grief and sorrow over the brutal killing of the party’s Orangi Sector’s worker, Feroze Hasan.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the MQM chief offered his condolences to the members of the bereaved family of the party worker, saying he all Muttahida workers equally shared their grief and sorrow.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, the MQM’s Coordination Committee has strongly condemned the killing of the party’s Orangi Sector’s (Unit-118-A) worker, Feroze Hasan, son of Muzaffar Akhtar, and termed it a continuation of the genocide of those who love Altaf Hussain and the MQM.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Coordination Committee deplored that MQM’s office-bearers, workers and sympathizers were continuously being targeted, saying that several party workers and sympathizers had been brutally killed in the current month only, but none of the terrorists have, so far, been apprehended.
The Committee regretted that on the one hand, the law-enforcement personnel have been arresting MQM workers and sympathizers and killing them after subjecting them to severe torture and, on the other, criminal elements and terrorists had been given license to kill and indulge in acts of terrorism against the party workers.
It warned that the genocide of those who love Altaf Hussain and the MQM must be stopped forthwith.
Expressing grief and sorrow over the killing of the worker, the Committee prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and appealed to the Haq Parast people not to lose their patients, demonstrating their unity against such acts of oppression and suppression.
The Coordination Committee demanded of prime minister, interior minister, Sindh governor, chief minister to take immediate notice of brutal killings of Feroze Hasan and other MQM workers and arrest the terrorists and their patrons involved in such heinous crimes.
Earlier, the martyred worker of the MQM, Feroze Hasan, was buried at Orangi Town’s Sector 11 ½ graveyard amid moving scenes.
His funeral prayer was offered at Raees Amrohovi Colony’s Masjid Arfat and it was largely attended by MQM Coordination Committee’s Member Gulfraz Khan Khattak, Hap Parast MPA Saifuddin Khalid, members of Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, office-bearers and workers of the party’s Orangi Sector Committee and units, relatives and friends.
