MQM will launch peaceful protests if his killers are not arrested in 72 hours: Dr. Saghir
MQM’s  PIB Sector worker Salamat Ali Khan was laid to rest amidst sobs and wails in the Martyrs Graveyard, Azizabad. Lyari gangsters had killed him. MQM’s Rabita Committee members, elected representatives, sectors and unit members attended his funeral prayer in large numbers.
Talking to media on this occasion member Rabita Committee Dr. Saghir said that MQM would register its protest in peaceful ways and make a call for a day of mourning if his killers were not arrested in 72 hours.
Dr. Saghir said that the government should find out people who have made the targeted operation in the city controversial and targeting MQM under the garb of operation.
“Today, one of MQM’s senior worker has been gunned by terrorists. He was killed in front of his shop brutally. MQM’s workers are being killed by terrorists. It is deplorable that they were subjected to inhumane torture and killed extra judicially. MQM’s offices are closed. The situation indicates that the targeted operation which has been launched to eliminate criminal elements and terrorists from the city has been directed towards MQM. Where was police when Salamat Ali Khan murdered by the gangsters of Lyari, “ Dr. Saghir said.
He appealed to the president, prime minister, army chief and chief justice of Pakistan to stop the state repression in Karachi and do something for the recovery of MQM workers who are victims of enforced disappearances and provide justice to families of the workers who had been killed extra judicially.
