Altaf Hussain Raises Questions on Government’s Performance As A Senior Citizen Dies by Police Manhandling

Founder and leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)Mr. Altaf Hussain has expressed his grave concern on the death of a senior citizen and supporter of MQM Mairaj Uddin while he was intercepted during snap checking by police and was manhandled. According to details, he said that Mairaj Uddin was stopped during snap checking and the police demanded ten thousand rupees from him. He only had two thousand rupees on which a policeman angrily slapped and pushed him as a result Mairaj Uddin fell down and received a fatal cardiac arrest and he passed away on the spot. He said that this brutality his highly condemnable and the police is becoming the sign of terror rather than having an image of security. He urged the government of Sindh to take immediate notice and raised questions on its performance and called on the government to take necessary actions against the policemen involved in this cruel act.
