Father of Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui laid to rest at Yasinabad graveyard

Maqbool Hussain Siddiqui, father of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s deputy convener, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, was laid to rest at Shuhada graveyard, Yasinabad, after Asr prayers.
Earlier, the Imam of Azizabad’s Jamia Masjid Aik Minara, Mufti Muhammad Azhar-ul-Islam, who led the deceased’s funeral prayers at Azizabad’s Jinnah ground, prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
Funeral and burial ceremonies were largely attended, among others, by MQM Coordination Committee’s deputy conveners – Dr Nusrat, Engineer Nasir Jamal --,  Coordination Committee members, Haq Parast Senators, MNAs, MPAs, former ministers and legislators, members of Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, office-bearers of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir committees, Labour Division, APMSO, Elders Wing, Medical and Legal-Aid committees, Social Forum, Ulema belonging to different schools of thought, office-bearers of different social and welfare societies, journalists’ organizations, literary people, sympathizers of MQM and a large number of friends and relatives of the deceased.
Soyem of the late Maqbool Hussain Siddiqui will be held on Feb 7 (Friday) between Asr and Maghreb prayers at Azizabad’s Lal Qila ground whereas arrangements for ladies have been made at the residence of deceased, located adjacent to the Lal Qila ground.
Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee’s members Ms Nasreen Jalil and Miss Mumtaz Anwar along with office-bearers and members of the party’s Women Wing visited the residence of the deceased to offer their condolences with Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and other relatives.
They also prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
