The Holy Prophet (PBUH) had won the hearts of the people by his sublime character
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that some people want to enforce their own version of the Sharia in the country and impose their beliefs on others on the point of a gun whereas the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had not preached the religion on the strength of the sword. He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had won the hearts of the people by his sublime character. He expressed these views while addressing a gathering held at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad, in connection with Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa (PBUH).
Mr Hussain said that the people should think deeply on teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and act on them. They should love each other and end bitterness and hatred. No one should commit excess against anyone. He prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings and mercy on Pakistan.
Mr Hussain also prayed Allah to pull the country out of the prevailing difficult circumstances and protect its borders. He prayed Allah to give the exalted position of martyrdom to the soldiers, policemen and innocent citizens who were recently killed in various incidents of terrorism.
Mr Hussain prayed Allah to give strength to the people of Pakistan for fighting the terrorists who were spilling the blood of innocent people by attacking mosques, imam bargahs, shrine and places of worships of other religions.
Mr Hussain commended the Co-ordination Committee, the Ulema Committee, the Tanzeemi Committee and other wings of the MQM for holding the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa. He also praised the workers who took part in the designing of a beautiful stage. He praised the MQM Web Team on the live webcast of the p programme.
Mr Hussain particularly thanked the religious scholars, Naat Khawans, Qawwals, and others who took part in the programme and prayed for them.
In the end Mr Hussain prayed Allah to show true guidance to the younger generation and keep them away from evil ways.
