Felicitating Christian community residing in Pakistan and elsewhere in the world, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that the Jesus Christ had taught the lesson of humanity, love, brotherhood and peace.
In a congratulatory message issued on the eve of Christmas, Mr Hussain appealed to the Christian community to offer special prayers for the solidarity and survival of the country in their worships.
He said that since no religion in world gave the message of hatred, it was imperative upon all of us to promote religious harmony by respecting each other’s faith and places of worship from their core of heart as it was the real essence of the humanity.
The MQM chief congratulated pastors, bishops and the entire Christian community including youths, elders, women and children and appealed to them to offer special prayers on the occasion for the restoration of peace, solidarity and survival of the country as well as for an end to acts of terrorism.
He also appealed to them to pray for the success of MQM’s righteous struggle and for an end to the conspiracies being hatched against the party in their worships on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.
