America will pay attention to our genuine demands and affair if we show national unity: Altaf Hussain
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that America would pay attention to our genuine demands and affair if we show national unity. 
“On the one hand we beg America for aid, but on the other hand we threat them. This policy will not bring any results and drone attacks will go on, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“Jamat-e-Islami is protesting over the execution of their leader over war crimes committed in 1971. No one talks about the loyal Pakistanis who are living in helpless and miserable conditions in the camps of Bangladesh. My crime is that I call a spade a spade. I will speak up against repression. People are conspiring against me because of my struggle against injustices. How could I submit to the external forces bent on destabilizing Pakistan when I did not submit to the oppressive measures and unjustified and illegal demands of the establishment, ‘ Mr. Hussain expressed these views on the occasion of an event held in connection with the promotion of his book Falsafa-e-Mohabbat.
People from all walks of life participated in the event in large numbers, including intellectuals from Punjab, writers, poets, journalists, columnists, religious and political leaders, lawyers, judges, diplomats and businessmen. The chief guest of the event was prominent columnist Hasan Nisar and the event was chaired by senior journalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami.
Mr. Hussain expressed his views about philosophy of love in his address too.  He added that he heard people saying ‘I love to each’. 
“When I pondered over their behavior, I reached at the conclusion that we should love God only. If we don’t see a glimpse of divine attributes in a person’s love then I would say it is not love., “ Mr. Hussain said. 
“ It is the divine attribute of God that He loves human beings. He provides sustenance to His worshippers and atheist alike. He does not want any rewards from people in return for things He bestows on people, “  Mr. Hussain said. 
“People say that General Zia made MQM. In fact, it was I that laid down the foundation of All Pakistan Muhajir Students on June 11, 1978. I was arrested when I staged protest demonstration at the mausoleum for the repatriation of Pakistan stranded in Bangladesh on August 14. General Zia was the Marshal Law Administrator. They registered a fabricated case against me. They said I pulled down the Pakistani flat and  hoisted a black flag. In fact, I don’t know how to climb a pole. General Zia military Summary Court sentenced me 9 months in prison for the crime I had not committed. I did not beg for mercy and endured the imprisonment. I called my mother and asked her not beg the administration for my release.  “  Mr. Hussain said.
“I swear on the Qurtan that the establishment did not create me. . Gen. Hameed Gul, Brigadier Imtiaz & Gen Aslam Beg are alive. They had sent  me brief case full of  money which I had refused to accept. Ask them to swear by the book if I am making a wrong statement, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“I am the only leader in Pakistan who have not taken any money from the army. I said to the army and ISI people that I am ready to sacrifice for Pakistan, but don’t bring money in our dealings, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“Love should be selfless. God loves His slaves selflessly. We should love Allah and servants selfless,” Mr. Hussain told the pariticipants.
He shared a fable a related Hazrat Rabiya Basri.  “ One day Rabiya Basri was in rage. People saw fire in her one hand and water in the other hand. People asked her where are you taking fire and water. She replied that she planned to burn the paradise with fire an extinguish the fire of health with the water so people could pray without any lure for God, “ Mr. Hussain told the participants.
“Prejudice negates true love. Punjabis, Pakhtoons, Sindhi, Baloch and Muhajir live in the same country. They should not display linguistic prejudices. We are brothers. We all should work for Pakistan instead of our ethnic groups. Only this way we can save the remaining Pakistan, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“Take the example of Iran. If they can initiate dialogue with Americans, we can do also. However, we will have to show unity if they want American to look at our just demands and problems. On the one hand we beg Americans for aid, but on the other hand we threat them. This kind of policy will not bring any results and drone attacks will continue. Some parties are doing politics on drone issue. If they are brave, they must shoot down drones, “ Mr. Hussain told the participants.
“Some people talking hosting Pakistan flat on the Red Fort. We will ask them do so when we become strong. We want make a strong and prosperous Pakistan. Jamaat Islami is staging demonstrations over the execution of their leader who was hanged for war crimes. No one talks about two and fifty thousand loyal Pakistan who are living in miserable conditions in camps in Bangladesh. Poverty has compelled their daughter to prostitution. What were the crimes of these Pakistan? Did they not support Pakistan?  When I raised my voice over the repatriation of Pakistan from Bangladesh, I was awarded a sentence of 9 months for my struggle, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain said that he was against sectarianism and did not approve of the people who were killing each in the name of Sunni-Sunni  strife. He added that all the people living in Pakistan were Pakistanis.  
He said that Pakistan’s founder was a ashna ashri Shias. If it is a crime to be Shia then Pakistan would be accessories to the crimes of killers who were killing people in name of Shia-Sunni. 
Mr. Hussain said no politician in Pakistan could talk in such an open manner. He added that his crime was that he called a spade a spade. He added that he denounced repression. 
‘Conspiracies are being hatched against me to stop me from my struggle against injustices. I am clean. My conscious is clear. How can I submit before the anti-Pakistan forces when I did not bow down before the establishment. I fear Allah. I make an appeal to people  of Punjab to take my words seriously. People used mock at me in the past saying that I was too young. I have turned 60. If I die, remember by words and protect my Pakistan from ethnic rivalries and provincialism, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Addressing Mr. Shami, he said, “ You have asked what pushes people towards me. What is the secret? There is no secret. It is simply love that attracts them towards me. People of Sindh love me. Now my message is spreading in Pakistan. There will be love and peace in Punjab soon and we will get rid you of tyrant feudal  lords. We will make Pakistan a strong country, “ Mr. Hussain said.
In the end of his speech Mr. Hussain thanked all the participants.
