Altaf Hussain congratulates the new army chief and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff and hopes that the army will serve the country with diligence, commitment and professionalism under the new leadership.

The founder and the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf has congratulated the new army chief Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif and new Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Rashad Mehmood on their appointments.
In a statement Mr. Hussain said, “The country is facing internal and external challenges. The security challenges faced by the country put great responsibility on the armed forces of Pakistan and its leaderships. I pray that the army will continue to serve Pakistan with extreme diligence, commitment and professionalism under the guidance of new leadership.”
Mr. Hussain paid great tributes to the outgoing army Chief General Ashfaq Kiani and Joint Chief of Staff Committee’s Chairman General Khalid shamim Wayne for their professionalism and contribution for strengthening democracy in the country.
Mr. Hussain hoped that democracy would flourish in the country. He added that we would be able to will strengthen democratic culture and our institutions
