THE OPPRESSED PEOPLE MUST FIGHT THE CORRUPT POWER MAFIA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN: MQM FOUNDER LEADER ALTAF HUSSAIN

LONDON. Aug 18:
The founder and leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr Altaf Hussain, has said that it is imperative for the oppressed people of Pakistan to stand united in order to establish true democracy in the country.
He said that the people from all social classes have no other choice except to fight the corrupt the power-and-money-hungry mafia and defeat them through their unfailing unity and resolve.
He said so during his telephonic address to the comrades of the MQM in Pakistan and Overseas, yesterday.
Mr Hussain stated that the power-and-money-hungry-mafia in Pakistan is the real perpetrator and enemy of the people, democracy and humanity.
It's due to their hunger for power and money which has always impeded the path that leads to democracy, he remarked.
Their colonising mindset is as old as the date of the inception of the country, 1947, he added.
The MQM supremo said that until the oppressed people of Pakistan come together and take action against the power-and-money-hungry-mafia, there could be no guarantee of progress, stability, and dignity anywhere in the country.
It's, therefore, imperative that the oppressed people from all over the country should unite first one point agenda of expelling these crooked creatures, he said.
He said that these looters must be placed under strict boycott and in order to achieve this goal, the people should set aside political and idealogical differences. Thus, they should initiate their struggle to free them from the corrupt military generals, judges, big land owners and corrupt media persons, he added.
He said that these looters constitute only two percent of the country but they reign over the country.
He condemned in the strongest words the authorities for unlawful and arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, and harassing women during raids.
He said that the security forces abduct Balochis, Sindhis, Punjabis, Pashtuns, tribal people, Muhajirs, and comrades of the MQM and Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf from houses and streets.
He said that in a country where law enforcement agencies, whose responsibility is to maintain law and order, engage in breaking the law and violating the constitution, by conducting unlawful raids without search warrants, harassing women during raids at houses, abductions, arbitrary arrests of the citizens without warrants, taking ok to custody brothers and parents in lieu of the wanted person, forcibly disappearing individuals for years.
He lamented that the courts fail to recover unlawfully arrested and forcibly disappeared persons despite orders. The MQM supremo said that the under custody citizens are subjected to brutal inhuman tactics. These would only bring devastation to the country, he added.
He said that the officers and personnel of the security institutions are criminals because they enjoy unlawful actions. They engage in breaking the law and violating the constitution, he said, adding that this has created an atmosphere where the people are venting their hatred towards the security institutions that are responsible for the safety of the people.
He also said that the people are simultaneously condemning the judicial system of the country and expressing their utmost hatred towards the judges. Punjab has now become a seat of hate against the country's military and judiciary.
He stated that a government based on injustice and unfairness cannot remain in power for long.
Hussain said that non-Muslim countries provide justice to their citizens and fully comply with the constitution and law of the land. Such countries are included in the ranks of strong, stable and developed nations.
He said that the traitors  in the disguise of Muhajir are spying against Muhajirs and assisting the security forces to apprehend them for no crime. Therefore, all loyal comrades and sympathisers in Pakistan should be vigilant against the conspiracies of these traitors.
