Altaf Hussain says that a conspiracy has been hatched to ignite sectarian riots across the country
Posted on: 11/16/2013
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that it appears that a conspiracy has been hatched to ignite sectarian riots across the country. He appealed to the Ummah and Pakistanis to thwart their heinous plan with their unity.
Mr. Hussain expressed these views while addressing MQM’s office bearers from different departments and wings at the LalQila Ground Azizabad on Saturday evening through a phone.
He expressed his sorrow and grief over the deaths of innocent people and wounding of a number ofpeople. He added that MQM had been struggling for the sectarian and religious harmony and Pan-Islamism for 35 years. In this connection MQM’s elected representatives meet with scholars of all schools of thoughts and Masaikhs especially scholars of Sunni and Shia scholars. These meetings help in maintaining sectarian harmony. It has been observed that sectarian harmony has improved because of our efforts.
Mr. Hussain said that enemies of peace have been trying to ignite sectarian riots. He added that MQM has always condemned their conspiracies and practically take measures for the promotion of sectarian harmony and always try to frustrate the plans of conspirators.
He said that MQM’s different teams have been contacting scholars of different schools of thoughts and Mashaiks to diffuse tension and peace after the tragic incident of Rawalpindi. They have been making appeals for restraint and peace. They are urging people to foil the plans of anti-islam elements who want to divide Muslims.
Mr. Hussain said that some elements are stoking sectarian feelings after the tragic incident of Rawalpindi. They are trying to start Shia-Sunni sectarian riots across Pakistan. He appealed to Muslims across the globe and all Pakistanis to understand their plans of the conspirators bent on igniting sectarian violence in the country.
He expressed heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families of the people martyred in the incident and said he shared their grief and prayed to Allah for the grant them high place in paradise. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded people. He also prayed to Allah to thwart the plans of people who want to start sectarian riots in Pakistan. He also appealed to scholars of all schools of thoughts especially Shia-Sunni scholars not to respond to provocation. He urged them for restraint and patience. He said they should demonstrate against the incidents but should not destroy lives and properties in their properties. If they failed to do so, it would start sectarian violence.
