Muttahida Qaumi Movement distributed on Saturday ration among the poor and needy women, youth and elderly people belonging to Hindu community on their auspicious of occasion of Diwali.
The ration-distribution ceremony among the poor and needy members of the Hindu community was organized at Moor Park, located adjacent to MQM Headquarters `90’. It was attended, among others, by MQM Coordination Committee’s members Haider Abbas Rizvi and Aslam Khan Afridi, the party’s minority affairs committee’s In-charge Abdul Ahad, Women’s Wing In-charge Ms Kishwar Zehra and minority affairs committee’s joint-incharge Gardhari Lal.
Speaking on the occasion, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain had created a historical example with a beautiful bouquet of getting assembled all religions altogether.
On this occasion, he pointed out that Mr Hussain not only made arrangements of candle lights at his house on the occasion of Diwali, but also celebrated birth of Jesus on Christmas.
Felicitating Hindu community on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Mr Rizvi said that Mr Hussain had always taught a lesson of serving humanity without any discrimination.
