AS COMPARED TO IOJ&K, PAKISTANI MILITARY IS INFLICTING HIGHER
ATROCITIES ON MOHAJIRS: DR NADEEM EHSAN

LONDON. Aug 22, 2019: Atrocities on
Mohajirs of Karachi, Hyderabad and other urban districts of province of Sindh
are greater than those inflicted on the people of India Occupied Jammu and
Kashmir (IOJ&K). Those who are making hue and cry over atrocities on
Kashmiris in IOJ&K are not willing to put an end to the atrocities in
Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities of the province.
Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM)
Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan said this during a video press briefing here at the
Movement’s International Secretariat in London on “Yaum-e Azm-e Wafa” (Day
of Loyalty) being commemorated on August 22nd every year under the
aegis of the MQM.
Deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza,
Coordination Committee (CC) members Mustafa Azizabadi, Sufyan Yousuf and
Manzoor Ahmed had flanked the Convener Ehsan during the video press briefing.
The MQM Convener said that
atrocities and injustices had commenced against Mohajirs since the day when the
MQM was launched by the dynamic leader, Father of Mohajir Nation Mr Altaf
Hussain on Jun 11, 1978. The pace of the ongoing military crackdown against
Mohajirs has been accelerated and Mohajir youth are in particular target of the
ghoulish military junta. Extrajudicial killings of Mohajirs, enforced
disappearances of them and arbitrary arrests are very common.
Dr Ehsan said that on raising his
voice of deep concern over the enforced disappearances, arbitrary arrests and
extrajudicial killings of Mohajirs, the military chose to embargo Mr Hussain
with regard to his conversations with his nation and telecast and publication
of his speeches, press statements and photographs and hence there is complete
media blackout for him since that day.
He said that Mr Hussain wrote to
Pakistani military chiefs on that but to no avail. On Aug 22, 2016, when Mr
Hussain was under extreme mental anguish over the unstoppable atrocities on
Mohajirs had cursed the demonic feudal and oppressive system in Pakistan,
military crackdown was extended against Mohajirs and the demonic military
declared Mr Hussain a traitor solely with a purpose to close his chapter in
Pakistan.
He said that MQM Headquarters, Nine
Zero in Azizabad was sealed under the guns of the Paramilitary Force, Rangers
and all other offices were sealed and later demolished in order to check MQM from
its political activities.
He asked, “What wrong Mr Husain
had done while he had simply raised his voice against atrocities and injustices

Dr Ehsan said that Pakistani ruling
elite has always been very vocal on the issue of IOJ&K but they never speak
out on atrocities and injustices against the Mohajirs in Karachi, Hyderabad and
other cities where they are dominating population. Curfew in IOJ&K has
become a seat of hot discussion on Pakistani media and in political round talks
but they are silent over the extreme oppression in Karachi and Hyderabad and
other cities since 1980 under the guns of demonic Pakistani military. In fact,
the military has occupied Karachi since 1992. Even the levels of atrocities,
injustices and oppression have crossed all limits and the Mohajirs are not even
allowed to recite the verses from the Holy Quran for the peace and blessings of
the Mohajir martyrs.
He said that these injustices
against the Mohajirs are not new but were launched since day one after Pakistan
was founded in 1947. Today, the residential colonies of the Mohajirs are being
demolished in the garb of Karachi Circular Railways (KCR) restoration plan as
the cunning and anti-Mohajir establishment wants to run that KCR from areas of
Mohajir dominance where they have their residences for over 50 years. The
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a new series of taxes on Mohajirs
of Karachi which already adds 70 percent of revenue to the national exchequer.
He said that, however, traitors in
ranks ad files of the Mohajirs preferred to remain silent over these new forms
of atrocities and have started playing a puppetry show at the hands of the
demonic military of Pakistan.
The Convener of the MQM vowed that
no matter to what scale the atrocities and injustices soar, the loyal and
devoted would never accept the tyranny of the ghoulish military of Pakistan and
they would continue to keep struggling for the freedom of the Mohair Nation
under the dynamic leadership of Mr Hussain.

is that day in history of Mohajir Nation which reminds us all of loyalty,
steadfastness and devotion to our beloved leader and Father of the Mohajir
Nation Hussain
