The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has demanded an allocation of fund for the poor and ailing artists and the formation of a committee consisting of honest people to look after their problems and affairs from the government. 
Mr. Hussain made this demand on Sunday night while addressing a condolence meeting for the legendry Singber Zunaida Khanum at MQM’s Headquarters Nine Zero. On this occasion Mr. Hussain prayed for Zubaida Khanum and other legendry artists who had left us for their heavenly abode. Members of MQM’s London and Pakistan’s Social and Cultural forums attended the meeting. He directed the forum members to build a monument to these legendry artists who have passed away so our future generations and foreign visitors could know about them.  He also directed them to engrave the names of these artists on the monument.
Mr. Hussain paid great tributes to Zubaida Khanum and deplored that in the recent years we had lost many great artists. Their sudden departure has caused us irreparable loss. He said that the artists who have died in recent years were internationally famed artists and iconic figures. 
He deplored that the successive governments had done nothing for aging and ailing artists. It is shocking to see that their fellow artists also did nothing for them. We think that by giving condolence messages on their deaths and holding events we have fulfilled our responsibilities. 
Mr. Hussain said that nations that forget their national and legendry heroes. In fact, lose their culture this way and the nations consign themselves to oblivion. Mr. Hussain directed MQM’s Social and Cultural Forum members, workers and office bearers to they should look after their legendry heroes and provide them medical aid and financial help . He said that your action would prove whether you love your legendry heroes or not.
