OPPRESSED NATIONS IN PAKISTAN SHOULD UNITE UNDER ONE COMMON PLATFORM FOR RIGHT OF SELF-DETERMINATION: ALTAF HUSSAIN

Pakistan is not a uni-ethnic community but there are hundreds of ethnic communities that have their own identity and culture. The ghoulish and dominating ethnic community (Punjabi) is using all draconian tactics to suppress the rights of them, curbing their freedom and silencing them to deaths – MQM Founder & Leader

LONDON. Jul 22, 2019: Muttahidda Quami Movement’s (MQM) founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain has invited all the oppressed nations in Pakistan to unite under one common platform to ensure the quicker success in attaining the right of self-determination from the oppressors in Pakistan. Mohajirs, Pashtuns, Balouchs and other ethnic communities that are continuously suffering from the oppression in Pakistan should now come under one common platform. Unity alone is the key to every success and the United Nations and the Super Power of the world would then step forward for helping us the oppressed nation in Pakistan to exercise the right of self-determination.

He expressed these views while addressing the protesters who had gathered in front of the White House to make the world aware of state-sponsored atrocities, genocide of the oppressed nations in Pakistan.

He paid tribute to the organizers for bringing all the protesters from different ethnic communities at a united platform for the protest.

He said that, “Pakistan is not a uni-ethnic community but there are hundreds of ethnic communities that have their own identity and culture”. “The ghoulish and dominating ethnic community (Punjabi) is using all draconian tactics to suppress the rights of them, curbing their freedom and silencing them to deaths.”

He added that the dominating ethnic community is using all available state resources to enslave them, implicating them in baseless and fraud processes of litigation and carrying out their genocide. Arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions have become rampant and a bloody and dark tradition of Pakistan.

He said that he had in 1978 stated that all the oppressed ethnic communities in Pakistan including Mohajirs should be allowed to determine about their future through the right of self-determination but his words are now taken as serious today in 2019 and hence all the oppressed ethnic communities have assembled in front of White House to speak their protest loud and make a manifest of their legitimate demand for the self-determination. Today, after some 42 years they have assembled for their right of self-determination here in Washington DC and they have endorsed him that Pakistan is carrying genocide of different ethnic communities under racism. Even Mohajirs have come very late to this reasoning of the right of self-determination. Those who used to be vexed at Mohajir identity are now standing shoulder to shoulder with Mohajirs. It took 42 long years to prove he was correct and thanks God, it happened.

He told the protesters that they should always bear in their minds that God and His forces are always on the side of the oppressed and hence they should waste no time to get united under one common platform for the execution of their demand for the self-determination. The unity of the oppressed nations in Pakistan would lead to every success and even the United Nations would be compelled to listen to us and would play then a vibrant role to allow us to exercise our right for the self-determination.

The MQM founder and leader said that all the oppressed nation in Pakistan should set their petty and personal trifles and disputes aside and stay united and that they should accept and realise the actual ground realities of the day.

Mr Hussain said that struggling alone and separately might not give the required and desired results but the united struggle would of course give them what they want and need.

He appreciated USA MQM Organiser Shahid Mustafa, Central Organiser Rehan Ibadat, Central Organising Committee and all chapters on successful and impressive protest demonstration.

He said that the well-organised demonstration of protest was the result of untiring efforts of USA MQM, which has now taken a lead all over the MQM chapters across the world. Similar protest should also be organise and held in other countries such as Canada, Australia, South Africa, Germany and others.
