DESPITE ALL IMPEDIMENTS, OBSTACLES, MQM’S STRUGGLE IS ACTIVELY ALIVE: ALTAF HUSSAIN
LONDON. Jun 30, 2019: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder and leader Altaf Hussain said that despite all obstacles and impediments, he is struggling for the rights of Mohajirs and would keep struggling till the destination is under feet.
He was speaking to a gathering on the occasion of 41st foundation Day of the APMSO at the Watling Community Hall here in London.
The event was attended by a huge crowd of workers, party officers and followers of him.
Coordination Committee members and MQM UK Organising Committee also spoke.
He said that the APMSO wasfounded on Jun 11, 1978 with an aim to struggle for the usurped rights of Mohajirs and it is obvious that any struggle lasts until the desired goals are achieved and that is why this sort of struggle is called a progressive struggle.
He said that in any part of the world, when a movement of rights was initiated, the forces of tyranny applied different tactics to sabotage the movements but those in the movement, loyal and devoted never get intimidated and continue with their struggle.
He said that Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) had asked the inhabitants of Mecca to follow the path of Allah and despite that the people of Mecca had great respect for him had turned his enemy but the Prophet continued to preach with courage, patience and endurance. He was pushed into different wars in which he lost many of his trustworthy companions but at the end he rose as victorious. Likewise, in Kerbala, Prophet Muhammad’s grandson had along with his 72 companions faced a very hostile situation in which all were martyred but they did not bow down their heads before the forces of tyranny.
Hussain said that it is part of history that the forces of tyranny always traumatized the people who started their struggle for their rights and likewise, MQM also faced the similar situations. The ghoulish military of Pakistan carried lethal military crackdowns against the movement so as to crush it midway but they couldn’t.
He said that despite all impediments and obstacles, he is keeping the struggle going forward for which he has been forced to live in exile since past 27 years. He said his devoted companions, workers, officers and men and women are struggling for the rights of Mohajirs along with him.
He felicitated the audience,party workers and officers on completing the 41st Foundation Day of the APMSO.
