Fire at Admin Office of Nine Zero alarming; Rangers set it ablaze: MQM Coordination Committee

MQM Coordination Committee has expressed deep concern over the arson at Khursheed Begum Memorial Complex adjacent to MQM Headquarters, Nine Zero, at Azizabad – Karachi. The arson had destroyed the entire record of literature, furniture and material for organizational use.
It said that administration of the city had sealed the complex since August 22, 2016 after military crackdown against the Movement and the paramilitary Rangers had occupied the Nine Zero and the Complex and the entire zone of Azizabad is since then under strict control of the paramilitary Rangers. The Azizabad zone has since August 22 been placed under strict surveillance and the residents enter their houses after complete physical search. The Complex was closed and under Rangers occupation since 2016 and hence the fire inside the Complex was out of question. The paramilitary Rangers is that perpetrator which set the record and furniture ablaze with a purpose of destroying everything that belongs to the Movement.
The Committee demanded for immediate investigations on the arson at the Complex and that those who did it should be taken to task.
